In this episode Roger Alfred Yoron Modi interviwed two generals: Major General John Sunday Martin, the Deputy Sector 6 Commander (SPLA-IO) and Major Gen. Peter Mabior Riny (SSPM, SSOA).

The two generals were among the Twenty-five (25) South Sudanese Senior Military and Police officers drawn from the parties to the Revitalized Agreement on the Resolution of Conflict in South Sudan R-ARCSS and atatneded a four-day course on post-conflict peacebuilding and reconstruction in Rwanda Peace Academy, in Kigali Rwanda.

The training was under the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and the Reconstituted Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Commission (RJMEC) in partnership with the Rwanda Peace Academy (RPA).

The program discussed what they have learnt in the training and related issues.

While the Unification of Forces required by the R-ARCSS remains far behind schedule, according to a statement by the Ministry of Defence quoted by SudansPost, the Minister of Defence and Veterans’ Affairs, Hon. Angelina Teny who was also in Rwanda said that the “training is also a process of unification of command where trainees are equipping with knowledge of commanding the Unified forces with the spirit of peace and development.”
